Cup

Cup – small, faience, hemispherical with a slightly defined foot, modestly decorated with a two-tone strip of stylised poppies (burgundy-red flower petals, dark green leaves, stems, and poppy heads) running around the rim, enclosed between two brown stripes, the decoration consists of a twice-repeated pattern, i.e. a symmetrical pattern within the perimeter of the rim of the cup with the motif of a cup-shaped poppy standing between a pair of long, S-shaped twisted stems ending in poppy heads. The foot, like the decoration strip, is bordered with a brown stripe. On the underside of the foot, there is a painter's mark in the form of the number "2" hand-painted with burgundy ceramic paint.
