Photograph of Helena née Grossman with her letter to Stanisław Maybaum (Marzyński)
c. 1906
Museum of the history of Polish Jews
Part of the collection: Photographs from the collection of Halina Kamińska (Mamelok) née Baruch
A photograph of five children playing in a yard during the summer holiday in Będzelin near Łódź; also pictured: a woman in an apron passing by (described on the reverse of another photo as Vazidsza Skublinska; this indication was crossed out and changed to: nańka in the note on this picture). The youngest of the children is Kazimierz Baruch. The two girls are Halina and Mania Baruch. According to the description, the other child is StanE [? Stach?] (see remark in note to photo MPOLIN-A25.1.16). The photo was most likely taken through a glass (a light reflection visible on the left), perhaps from the same glazed veranda where (a few years later?) another photo from the collection was taken: a group scene at the tables (MPOLIN-A25.1.21).
