The Dogon, a people inhabiting the south-central areas of Mali, fascinate with their culture and art, in which there are numerous references to complicated and esoteric cosmogonic knowledge - about the origin of the universe, the Earth and the origin of man. An important part of the collection, collected in the years 2009 - 2012, are masks used during lady funeral ceremonies, in which about 70 types are used (!). The collection was assembled before the Tuareg uprising, which led to the creation of the Azawad state, in the northern part of Mali, today not only inaccessible to tourists and researchers, but also culturally endangered due to the destruction of testimonies of other beliefs and religions by Islamic fighters.
