Part of the collection: The portfolio of graphics "La Mémoire Gravée" by Izaak Celnikier
In February 1945. Celnikier on a death march (or transport) made his way to Sachsenhausen. The predominance of white, unnatural for other compositions in the series Memory Rhythms, is in fact meant to convey the winter scenery of the camp. Against the bright background, small black spots and schematically rendered faces of prisoners behind the wires appear in an even rhythm.
