Castle Museum in Łańcut
Part of the collection: Sculptures
The miniature bust of Augustus, Roman emperor (63 B.C. – 14 C.E.) presents him as an older man, en face, with his head bowed. A round face, with a straight nose, large eyes, with a prominent lower lip, sunken cheeks and wrinkles. This bust is probably a copy of the ancient image of the emperor.
