Castle Museum in Łańcut
Part of the collection: Sculptures
The bust is a miniature copy of an ancient bronze bust made in the 2nd half of the 1st century BC (height 56 cm), located in the Museo Nazionale in Naples. It was once considered to be a bust of Terence.
It presents a young man with his head turned to the right and tilted downwards. An oval face, with full cheeks and a prominent chin, with a long nose, a swollen forehead, and a protruding upper lip. Hair arranged in curly strands, overlapping the forehead and temples. Chlamys fastened with a fibula (a brooch) on his left shoulder.
