Part of the collection: Photographs from the collection of Halina Kamińska (Mamelok) née Baruch
The photograph of the Mamelok family - the daughter, Magda, aged about six, Halina, née Baruch, wearing a white dress and a bright hat (in the shape of a helmet, fashionable in the interwar period), Józef Mamelok in a suit; they are sitting on a bench, with their daughter standing between them. They are not smiling and are relatively concentrated. The convention of posed photography at that time did not allow for smiling, even if the photograph was private. It was probably taken in a park, perhaps in Zawiercie, where the Mameloks lived and had substantial green spaces, famous for its urban forest located in the centre of the agglomeration.
