Description:
The bedroom belongs to the one-story apartment, in the north wing, arranged in the 1780s in times of Prince Stanisław Lubomirski, GMC and his wife, Duchess Izabella née Czartoryska (1736-1815) in the original 17th-century vaulted interiors of the Łańcut castle erected by Prince Stanisław Lubomirski (1583-1649), the first member of this family to own Łańcut. The suite comprises the lounge, bedroom and corridor. The living room was a bedroom from the mid-nineteenth century to the 1940s. This rectangular interior with an alcove has a flat ceiling with a glazed facette added in the 1880s and two windows in the north wall. The entrance door (from the corridor) in the southern wall next to the alcove, the second one was leading to the bedroom in the east, and a blind one vis-à-vis them, set in deep jambs — all double doors. Facing south is a separate alcove on the other side of the door with a niche closed with a double door hiding a pebble stove. Walls with white and green panelling, in the plinth part with panel decorations, above them forming slat frames for a large mirror set between the windows and linen panneaux with painting decoration by Vincenzo Brenna. The walls of the living room are decorated with eight panneaux: four large ones on the sidewalls, square with allegorical scenes, placed against the background of fields with borders covered with floral ornaments, and four smaller ones in overdoors with same allegorical scenes; scenes with the representations of goats against the landscape with ancient ruins.
