DRIVING CURB BIT, France, 19th/20th century
A Liverpool-type driving curb bit with movable cheekpieces and a cylindrical mouthpiece, arched in the middle in the so-called "segundo port". The cheekpieces have two rings with two chain hooks attached.
Used for English-style carriages with a ¬charabanc or a break.
It comes from the historic equestrian collection of the Potocki family from Łańcut.
